As C&I energy storage accelerates, Solarbridge is scaling fast and looking for a Director of Business Development who can open doors, close complex deals, and build a repeatable growth engine with integrators and EPCs across North America.
Responsibilities
What You’ll Own
Market Expansion & Strategy
Define and execute the go-to-market strategy for PCS in C&I energy storage
Identify where the market is going—and position Solarbridge there first
Target and win high-impact integrators, EPCs, and OEM partners
Revenue & Deal Leadership
Own large, complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from first call to contract signature
Lead pricing strategy, commercial structuring, and long-term partnership agreements
Build a predictable pipeline and deliver real, measurable revenue growth
Customer & Partner Domination
Become the trusted PCS partner to top-tier integrators and EPCs
Engage directly in system architecture, use-case definition, and project design conversations
Convert early pilots into scaled, repeat deployments
Product & Market Influence
Bring market truth directly to product management and engineering
Shape roadmap priorities based on real customer needs, not assumptions
Work with marketing to create positioning that cuts through noise and wins deals
Internal Leadership
Partner tightly with applications engineering, delivery, and operations to win and execute
Help build scalable commercial processes, partner frameworks, and sales discipline
Set the standard for how Solarbridge competes—and wins—in the market

Requirements
What It Takes
Experience That Matters
8–12+ years in business development, sales leadership, or commercial strategy in BESS, PCS, power electronics, inverters, or grid-interactive energy systems
Proven ability to sell into system integrators, EPCs, OEMs, or large C&I customers
Demonstrated success closing complex, technical, high-value deals
Technical Edge
Deep understanding of BESS architecture and PCS functionality
Fluent in C&I use cases: peak shaving, backup power, PV + storage, microgrids
Able to translate technical differentiation into undeniable customer value
Startup DNA
Builder mentality—comfortable with ambiguity, speed, and ownership
Aggressive but disciplined: you know when to push and when to structure
Executive presence with the grit to execute
Willing to travel, hustle, and win
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Energy, or Business required
MBA or equivalent experience scaling revenue strongly preferred
